Anti Kontrabida Campaign
Numerous cases of Physical Child Abuse are not prioritized because it has already been a norm among most Filipino families to inflict corporal punishment whenever a child commits mistake. According to research, many proceedings of Physical Child Abuse incidents grounded from light to moderate smacks that escalated to worse conditions until then causing bruises and injuries. A survey conducted shows that the most common perception of the target audience towards being hit or physically punished is a normal episode in everybody’s childhood. They tolerate such situations as long as the act is intended merely for disciplining the child. However, there is no assurance all along these situations that the perpetrator would not lose control of his acts and not intensify. Therefore, realising an advocacy program targetting these families nationwide, Anti Physical Child Abuse Campaign is projected to dissuade perpetrators of Physical Child Abuse from committing violence against children. This is envisioned to highlight the rights of children, to foster a positive environment within Filipino homes and to break the cycle of Physical Child Abuse in the Philippines. Anti Kontrabida campaign conveys that any form of violence against children, for any reason, done once or repeatedly, is never acceptable.
Kahit saang anggulo tignan, ikaw ang kontrabida.
